An elderly man died after hit and run in Scarborough
A pedestrian was killed in Scarborough on Thursday after being hit by a driver.
Toronto police say they were called to Lawrence Avenue East and Midland Avenue around 7:42 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a 78-year-old man injured.
Paramedics said he was taken to a trauma center where he was pronounced dead.
According to police, the man was crossing the Lawrence Mid-Block when he was hit.
Police say the driver fled the scene.
Anyone with a dashcam video or information that could be useful to investigators is asked to contact the police.
