CGI Toronto ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੂਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ
1. ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟ ਧਾਰਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ/ਪੋਸਟ ‘ਤੇ ਜਮਾਂ ਕਰਾਉਣ। ਉਹ ਭਾਰਤੀ
ਮੂਲ ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ/ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟ ਸਪੁਰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ, ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਜਿਹਾ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੋ। ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਦਾ ਵੇਰਵਾ

2. ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੂਲ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਮਰੱਥ ਹਨ, ਨੂੰ ਦਰਪੇਸ਼ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਕੌਂਸਲੇਟ ਨੇ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸਮਰਪਣ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ/ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਰੱਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ‘ਚ ਢਿੱਲ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ।
3. ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੂਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾ ਨੇ 1 ਜੂਨ 2010 ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ/ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਮਰੱਥ ਹਨ, ਅਣਉਪਲਬਧਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੋਟਰੀ ਹਲਫੀਆ ਬਿਆਨ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।

4. ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੂਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ / ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਰੱਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ / ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਰੱਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਪੀ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਾਉਣਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
Consulate General of India release special information about the Submission of Visa application by Person of Indian Origin
All Indian Passport holders, after obtaining foreign nationality, are compulsorily required by law to surrender their Indian Passports at the nearest Indian Mission/Post. Those Indian
Origin Canadian/foreign nationals who are yet to surrender their Indian Passports are advised
do so immediately and obtain a Surrender Certificate. The details of the process to Surrender
the Indian Passport can be seen on the website https://www.cgitoronto.gov.in
2. In view of the difficulties being faced by aged Persons of Indian origin who arrived in Canada long ago and are unable to trace their old Indian Passports, the Consulate has decided to relax the requirement of providing Surrender Certificate/ old cancelled Indian Passport.
3. Person of Indian origin who acquired Canadian citizenship before 1st June 2010 and are unable to provide copy of Surrender Certificate / old Indian Passport may provide a duly notarized Affidavit with regard to unavailability of Surrender Certificate / old cancelled Indian

4. Persons of Indian Origin having the Surrender Certificate / old cancelled Indian Passport may continue to submit a copy of Surrender Certificate / old cancelled Indian Passport with their visa application.
