-ਫੇਫੜੇ ਆਪ ਗਾਲਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ: Stats Canada’s data shows over half of Canadian residents aged 20 to 24 and around one-third of youth aged 15 to 19 admit having tried vaping at least once.

-ਸ਼ਰਾਰਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਸਖਤੀ ਨਾਲੋ ਨਾਲ਼: Two female students were lately disciplined for consuming cannabis (ਭੰਗ) inside a Brampton’s Ward 10 school washroom. Two male students from a different school in Ward 10 were charged by the police for (fake) gun and knife possession, and as a consequence, they were expelled from the Peel District School Board. Three male students were suspended for mischief through social media.

-ਸਰਵੇ 17 ਤੱਕ: Over 6500 residents from Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga have already completed an ongoing survey for PDSB’s next multi-year plan. Above 55% completed surveys are from parents/guardians and 11% are from the current students. -ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ: Progress Report Cards will be sent home by email (secure link, valid for 7 days) on November 17 to PDSB students and families in Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon.

-ਬਰਫ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਬਜੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ: The City of Brampton has a Financial Assistance Program to help seniors and people with disabilities with the costs of hiring someone to remove snow from sidewalks and driveways. This program has been expanded, and from this year, people who rent homes can also apply for the program. Qualifying applicants can receive a grant of up to $300 for non-corner lot properties or up to $400 for corner lot properties. -ਰਾਹਗੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ: 21 pedestrians have been killed on the roads in Toronto during the past 317 days (until yesterday) of 2023.

-ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ: PDSB celebrates Peel Custodial and Maintenance Workers’ Day on November 24. It will be an opportunity to thank custodial and maintenance workers for their work and commitment to the well-being and safety of the school community.
