Construction Workers – 2 Positions
$19-$20/hr – Full Time
Ancaster, ON

Staffmax is looking for Construction Workers ASAP to fulfill the following (but not limited to) tasks at our client’s worksite:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Will be putting straw, removing straw & stripping footings.
General construction duties as required for residential and commercial projects
Duties also include accurate and on-time completion of paperwork, loading/unloading materials, and equipment, job site clean-up, and various maintenance tasks as needed
Detail-oriented and able to communicate easily with your team and your site supervisor.
Ability to work in different environmental conditions (indoors/ outdoors, hot/ cold)
Must be comfortable working at heights and tight spaces
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work Mon-Fri (occasional weekends), start time as early as 7:30 am to 4:30pm
Requirements:
2+ years of experience working in the construction industry
A valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record is an asset
Must have steel Toe safety shoes (CSA Approved)

BigData Engineer, DataStage Developer & Data Architect

BigData Engineer
150,000 – 180,000 + Benefits – Full Time – Permanent or Contract

Skills:

• 4-8 Yrs of hands-on development experience
• Experience leveraging big data technologies (One or more of Hadoop, Python, Spark) is mandatory
• Experience working with various data exchange formats (JSON, CSV, XML etc.)
• Solid understanding of relational and dimensional database design and knowledge of logical and physical data models is preferred
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and Linux shell scripting
• Experience with job scheduling (TIDAL, CAWLA, Oozie) and file transfer (e.g. SFTP)

Good to have skills:

• Experience building real-time data pipelines using Kafka or spark streaming is preferred
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure (or other cloud) platforms is preferred
• Experience with Agile methodologies for project development
• Excellent diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills are preferred
• Experience with continuous delivery tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, Circle CI), and an understanding of the principles and pragmatics for build pipelines, artefact repositories, zero-downtime deployment, etc. is preferred

DataStage Developer
130,000 – 150,000 + Benefits – Full Time – Permanent or Contract

Skills:

• 5+ years Relevant IT software experience (Technical-Developer) using ETL Technologies
• Minimum 3 years of development experience in IBM DataStage, IBM Information Analyzer, SQL, UNIX/LINUX
• Strong fundamentals in Data warehousing and BI concepts
• Strong knowledge of relation database, specifically Oracle (SQL – PL/SQL)
• Technical expertise in the design, development, coding, unit testing and debugging of software
• Solid experience working with requirement analysts gathering business requirements, understanding requirements giving feedback about how it can be technically be implemented using ETL etc.
• Data Quality experience using Information Analyzer
• Expertise in Data Analysis and Management

Role:

Data Architect

Responsibilities:

o Project change management (including process to evaluate change impacts across timelines, scope, budget, etc.)
o Partner management
o Technical risk management (including proactive identification of risks, development of mitigation strategies, and proactive management)
o Technical scope management (including proactive identification of missing scope, gaps between teams)
o Assumptions alignment across various solution / delivery teams
o Dependency alignment across internal and external stakeholders
o Data capability placement including placement of functionality on solution components (i.e. where transformations, data validation, reconciliation is performed)
o Data architecture including identifying system of record for attributes
o Establishing data modelling outline (CDM) and performing LDM and PDM governance / review
o Data solution design – from new components, to modification of existing components and design patterns.
o Developing and gaining alignment on roles & responsibilities for delivery & support
o Thought leadership and drive architecture and design on the various data platforms
o Performing analysis on existing architecture, data pipelines, processes and developing and influencing teams to implement them
o Ensure effective design and development in alignment of the CBT data direction

Requirements:

• Subject area experience with Financial Industry products and services preferred: Retail Banking/Lending, Commercial Banking/Lending, Capital Markets, and Wealth Management
• Experience with interacting with IT Finance and having tight timelines with critical business impacts.
• Experience with innovation, design thinking, agile and the application of DataOps / DevOps
• Experience in data integration projects (ETL/ELT, data design, data governance, data modelling, data analysis)
• Data architecture and design skills
• Proficiency with data principles and / or DMBOK
• Proficiency with ERWin or similar product
• Good knowledge of SQL
