ਬੰਦੀ ਛੋੜ ਦਿਵਸ:
ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਤੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤਲਵੰਡੀ ਸਾਬੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਮੰਦੀ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੌਣਕਾਂ ਘੱਟ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਚੌਥੇ ਤਖ਼ਤ — ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਮਦਮਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤਲਵੰਡੀ ਸਾਬੋ ਵਿਖੇ ਬੰਦੀ ਛੋੜ ਦਿਵਸ 21 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਜ਼ੋਰਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਬੰਦੀ ਛੋੜ ਦਿਵਸ: ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਨੇਜਰ ਨਰਿੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਭਵਾਨੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਬੰਦੀ ਛੋੜ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਮਾਗਮ, ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਅਤੇ ਦੀਵਾ ਬੱਤੀ ਦੀ ਰਸਮ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਵੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ।
ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਦੀ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਵਪਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਹੜਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਫਸਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਜਲਦੀ ਆਉਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਰਥਿਕਤਾ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਕੀਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਮਕ ਘੱਟ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

Bandi Chhor Divas to Be Celebrated on October 21 at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo
Bandi Chhor Divas:
While Diwali is being celebrated across Punjab with devotion and excitement, the historic city of Talwandi Sabo is witnessing a quieter festive atmosphere this year. Markets are less crowded and business activity appears slow. On the other hand, at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, preparations are in full swing to celebrate Bandi Chhor Divas on October 21.
According to Narinderjit Singh Bhawanigarh, Manager of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), special religious programs, kirtan, and lighting ceremonies will be organized at Takht Sahib. He added that, as every year, thousands of devotees are expected to attend the celebrations.
Local traders mentioned that recent floods have damaged crops, and since Diwali arrived earlier this year, people’s financial conditions have weakened, leading to low market enthusiasm.
