Extreme cold weather warning is still in effect in Toronto, with temperatures expected to drop to -30°F

For the ninth day in a row, the City of Toronto is under an extreme cold weather warning, with wind chills anticipated to reach -30 degrees overnight and into Wednesday.
Since January 17, the notice has been in effect.
When Environment Canada expects a temperature of -15 C or lower, or a wind chill of -20 C or lower, an extreme cold weather notice is issued.
The high for today is -7°C, but the wind chill will make it feel like -18°C this morning and -12°C this afternoon. Flurries are also expected during the day, with a 40% chance.
The overnight low is anticipated to be -22 C, with the wind chill making it feel like -30. These temperatures, according to the national weather service, constitute a risk of frostbite.
The freezing temperatures are expected to persist on Wednesday, but with a high of -4 C on Thursday.
