Inside Scarborough High School, a student fatally shot

On Monday afternoon, a Grade 12 student was killed in a shooting at a Scarborough high school.
It occurred approximately 3 p.m. at Midland and Lawrence avenues, at David and Mary Thomson Collegiate.
The victim, an 18-year-old boy, was found with a gunshot wound near the school’s rear doors and pronounced dead on the spot, according to police.
Police believe the incident was “premeditated” and that there is no danger to the public.
The entire main floor was being treated as a “crime scene,” according to investigators.
The shooting occurred just after the school’s children had been dismissed for the day.
The building was placed under lockdown as soon as police arrived, and members of the Emergency Task Force were sent in to perform a comprehensive sweep of the grounds.
At roughly 5 p.m., the all-clear was given, and staff and kids were seen being taken out by police.

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੀੜਤ, ਇੱਕ 18 ਸਾਲਾ ਲੜਕੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਗੋਲੀ ਲੱਗਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਹੀ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਐਲਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਗੋਲੀਬਾਰੀ “ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ” ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਨਤਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਖਤਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਗੋਲੀਬਾਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਨ ਲਈ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਮਿੰਟਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੋਈ।
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ ਤਾਂ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਲਾਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਫਿਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ 5 ਵਜੇ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਆਲ-ਕਲੀਅਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਦੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
