TORONTO, ON- A stray needle was discovered in a package of Halloween candy in Whitby on Sunday, according to Durham Regional Police.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Dunlop and Henry streets soon after 9:30 p.m. on Sunday for complaints of a suspicious item discovered in a Halloween candy bag, according to police.
The complainant discovered a yellow blood sugar lancet needle inside her Halloween candy bag, according to police.
Although no other complaints have been received, authorities are urging parents to closely inspect their children’s candy.
