One dead, seven injured after a collision in downtown Toronto

One person was dead and seven others were injured in a collision in downtown Toronto, police said.
Around 11:45 p.m. Friday night, emergency crews were called to the intersection of Wellington Street and University Avenue to report a multi-vehicle crash and a pedestrian collision.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Toronto paramedics said they rushed a total of seven people to hospital with minor to serious injuries.
Police said one of the drivers involved in the collision was later arrested for improper driving.
Roads in the area have been closed for inspection.

ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਅਮਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁ-ਵਾਹਨ ਦੁਰਘਟਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੈਦਲ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਟੱਕਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਰਾਤ ਕਰੀਬ 11:45 ਵਜੇ ਵੈਲਿੰਗਟਨ ਸਟਰੀਟ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਐਵੇਨਿਊ ਦੇ ਚੌਰਾਹੇ ‘ਤੇ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਐਲਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਮੈਡਿਕਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਮੂਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਤੱਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੁੱਲ ਸੱਤ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਟੱਕਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਇੱਕ ਡਰਾਈਵਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਰਾਬ ਡਰਾਈਵਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ।
ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਚ ਲਈ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
