Police charged a 32-year-old Toronto man with two ‘violent’ sexual assaults of 2013 and 2014

Following two “violent” sexual assaults in 2013 and 2014, a 32-year-old male was arrested, according to York Regional Police and Peel Regional Police.
Police made the arrest following a combined investigation linking two instances that occurred about a decade ago in Richmond Hill and Mississauga.
A woman got off a bus near South Service Road and Crestview Avenue in Mississauga at around midnight on September 27, 2013.
The woman was approached by a male suspect wielding a weapon, according to police.
A male suspect allegedly approached the woman with a weapon, seized her, and brought her into a darkened place, where he allegedly sexually attacked her, according to police.
Then, on Nov. 13, 2014, another woman got off a bus in Richmond Hill at Yonge Street and Canyon Hill Avenue.
The woman was accosted by a man who demanded money from her before dragging her into a field and reportedly sexually assaulting her, according to police.
The culprit in those two incidents had remained unidentified until the new link from forensics in 2021.
Jaehyun “David” Cho, 32, a Toronto resident, was detained on March 11.
He is charged with two charges of kidnapping, sexual assault with a weapon, sexual assault inflicting bodily damage, making death threats, and concealing his identity.

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਇੱਕ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਔਰਤ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ, ਉਸਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਸ਼ੋਸ਼ਣ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਫਿਰ, 13 ਨਵੰਬਰ, 2014 ਨੂੰ, ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਔਰਤ ਰਿਚਮੰਡ ਹਿੱਲ ਵਿਚ ਯੋਂਗ ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਨਿਯਨ ਹਿੱਲ ਐਵੇਨਿਊ ਵਿਚ ਬੱਸ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਰ ਗਈ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਸੇ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ, ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਸ਼ੋਸ਼ਣ ਕੀਤਾ।
2021 ਵਿੱਚ ਫੋਰੈਂਸਿਕ ਤੋਂ ਨਵੇਂ ਲਿੰਕ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
11 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ, ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ 32 ਸਾਲਾ ਜੇਹਿਊਨ “ਡੇਵਿਡ” ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਗਵਾ, ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਹਮਲਾ, ਸਰੀਰਕ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਹਮਲੇ, ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਧਮਕੀ ਦੇਣ, ਇਰਾਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਭੇਸ ਬਣਾਉਣ, ਲੁੱਟ-ਖੋਹ ਅਤੇ ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਮਕਸਦ ਲਈ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ 17 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ।
