Saffron flags hoisted in the city of Brampton dedicated to Sikh Heritage Month
ਸਿੱਖ ਹੈਰੀਟੇਜ ਮੰਥ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਚ ਝੁਲਾਏ ਗਏ ਕੇਸਰੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ।
Brampton (Chamkaur Singh Machhike) – April is celebrated as “Sikh Heritage Month” in Canada and saffron flags are hoisted in different cities this month. A large number of people besides mayors, councilors, MPs, social activists and representatives of various political parties were present during the flag raising at City Hall in Brampton, the stronghold of Punjabis. A minute’s silence was observed in tribute to the founder of the raging event, late Sukhminder Singh Hansra.
ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ (ਚਮਕੌਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਛੀਕੇ )-ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਚ ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਮਹੀਨਾ “ਸਿੱਖ ਹੈਰੀਟੇਜ ਮੰਥ” ਵਜੋਂ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਕੇਸਰੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਝੁਲਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ । ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਸਿਟੀ ਹਾਲ ਚ ਫਲ਼ੈਗ ਰੇਜਿੰਗ ਸਮੇਂ ਮੇਅਰ,ਕੌਂਸਲਰਜ ,ਐਮ ਪੀ ਪੀਜ , ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਕਾਰਕੁੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਭਰੀ , ਬੁਲਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਖ਼ਾਲਸੇ ਦੇ ਮਾਣਮੱਤੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਤੇ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਫਲੈਗ ਰੇਜਿੰਗ ਈਵਿੰਟ ਦੇ ਫਾਂਉਂਡਰ ਸਵਃ ਸੁਖਮਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੰਸਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮਿੰਟ ਦਾ ਮੋਨ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ।
