With nearly 14,000 new COVID cases, Ontario breaks the previous single-day record

On Thursday, Ontario reported 13,807 new COVID cases, breaking yet another record for the most instances reported in a 24-hour period. The total number of cases filed in the province is now 739,648.
The number of new cases reported on Thursday topped the previous single-day high of 10,436 instances reported the day before on Wednesday. On Tuesday, there were 8,825 new cases, compared to 9,418 on Monday.
Over the previous few weeks, the number of cases caused by the Omicron variety has increased dramatically. Last Thursday, there were 5,790 new instances, and the Thursday before that, there were 2,421. The seven-day average has now risen to 10,328, up from 4,002 a week earlier.

ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਵਿੱਚ 3,478, ਪੀਲ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ 1,468, ਯਾਰਕ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ 1,224, ਹੈਮਿਲਟਨ ਵਿੱਚ 939, ਹਾਲਟਨ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ 732, ਓਟਾਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ 683, ਵਾਟਰਲੂ ਵਿੱਚ 628 ਅਤੇ ਡਰਹਮ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ 538 ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਜਨਤਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਇਕਾਈਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੂਬਾਈ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ 500 ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਨਵੇਂ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
