ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਸਿੱਧੀਆਂ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ: ਜਾਣੋ ਸ਼ਰਤਾਂ

On Monday, September 20th, Canada’s prohibition on direct flights from India was lifted, and Air Canada, the country’s largest airline, started operations. According to News18, the first flight — a direct trip from Toronto to Delhi – took off from Canada on Monday and would arrive in Delhi on Tuesday night. Air India is also likely to begin direct flights to Canada in the near future.
All travel will be governed by the two countries’ Air Bubble Agreement, and specific safeguards will be required in accordance with WHO guidelines and Air Canada rules.
After the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic hit India on April 23, Canada imposed a ban on flights from India. Due to Canada’s worries about Indian tests and immunisation certificates, the prohibition was prolonged for another month in August. Due to the increased costs of third-country travel, vaccination, and stay, this caused considerable hardship among students travelling to Canada.
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਸਿੱਧੀਆਂ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ, 20 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨ ਏਅਰ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਉਡਾਣ – ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਤੋਂ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਲਈ – ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਤੋਂ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪਹੁੰਚੇਗੀ। ਏਅਰ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਆਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ।
ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਯਾਤਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਹਵਾਈ ਸਮਝੌਤੇ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਵਧਾਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ WHO ਦੇ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਏਅਰ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਏਗੀ।
ਕੋਵਿਡ -19 ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਦੂਜੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਨੇ 23 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੈਸਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਟੀਕੇ ਦੇ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਗਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਲਈ ਵਧਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੀਜੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ, ਟੀਕਾਕਰਣ ਅਤੇ ਠਹਿਰਨ ਦੇ ਖਰਚਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ।
