– (Satpal Singh Johal)- ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ `ਚ ਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਰੀ ਰੋਕਣ ਦਾ ਹੱਲ ਲੱਭਿਆ, ਮੇਅਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਮਤਾ ਅੱਜ: Peel Police data shows that vehicle theft has gone 92 percent (close to 100%) up in Brampton and Mississauga during the past three years. 3119 automobiles were reported stolen in Brampton and Mississauga in 2019, that number rose to 5811 in 2022.
– Brampton’s mayor Patrick Brown is coming forward with a pilot plan to combat auto theft in the city. Under his proposal, the City of Brampton will provide Farady bags/pouches ($6/each) for free to vehicle owners in Brampton. Brown will introduce a motion today, that is expected to be passed on February 8 by the City Council.
