(Satpal Singh Johal) –Happy Weekend! The weather is perfect in the GTA for today.

-ਸਕੂਲ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਦਾ ਗਠਨ: Every PDSB school has a school council, that is also known as parent’s council. School Councils become the voice of the families, and they offer advice and feedback to the principal on different topics. School administrations encourage community members to join the school council. Parents can express their interest in contacting the school’s office staff, or they can email the principal. Robert J. Public School (at Mountainash Road in Brampton’s Ward 10) is currently seeking up to 15 parents who can volunteer for the school’s council. Nomination will be accepted until Friday, September 22. The first meeting of the council will take place in the school library from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

-ਸੈੱਲਫੋਨ ਤੇ ਕੈਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਪੜਾਈ ਸੰਭਵ: School administrations in Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon do not ask students (of all grades) to bring cell phones and cash/bank cards from home. The principals and teachers say (complaining) that they have, and they are going through major incidents involving students’ cell phone abuse. Some students do not stop abusing their cell phones (texting, chatting) during learning time in a classroom. They would take cell phones into washrooms and record videos of other students, create fake social media accounts impersonating students, and use discriminatory and derogatory language online. Students would also refuse to put cell phones away when asked by the teachers. Cell phone culture is significantly interfering with teaching and learning, teachers say. To get a productive learning environment in the school, let’s curb the culture of bringing cell phones from home! There are several phone lines, in the schools, including classrooms, if necessary to communicate with parents during school time. ਬਾਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਹੋ ਜੀ। (Satpal Singh Johal)
