ਕੈਨੇਡਾ “ਵਰਕਰ ਲੌਕਡਾਊਨ ਬੈਨੀਫਿਟ” ਹੁਣ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹਾ
The Canada Worker Lockdown Benefit (CWLB) is now accepting applications, according to the federal government.
The benefit, which pays $300 per week to employed and self-employed people who are unable to work because to a COVID-19 lockout, provides temporary economic support. It is only available to those in a lockdown region who are unable to work due to capacity constraints.
According to a press statement from the Canada Revenue Agency, lockdown regions have been established in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Nunavut.
The statement states that “this list will be updated as provincial or territory administrations adopt amendments to public health regulations.”
Payments will begin on December 19 and will be made retroactively.
The benefit was introduced earlier this month, but it was initially unavailable to the general public because the federal government had not identified any locations as being under lockdown. COVID-19 public health restrictions restricting public access to enterprises by at least 50% will now be included in the meaning of a lockdown order, according to the government.
The CRA’s website has a complete list of eligibility requirements. More than half of the applicants’ income must have been lost.
“Through Bill C-2 and the expansion of the Canada Worker Lockdown Benefit, we are providing targeted financial support to Canadian workers as regions implement public health measures to stem the spread of COVID-19,” Employment Minister Carla Qualtrough said in a statement.

ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਰੀਲੀਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਬਿੱਲ C-2 ਅਤੇ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਰਕਰ ਲੌਕਡਾਊਨ ਬੈਨੀਫਿਟ ਦੇ ਵਿਸਤਾਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਅਸੀਂ ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਕਾਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਟੀਚਾ ਆਮਦਨ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਖੇਤਰ COVID-19 ਦੇ ਫੈਲਣ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਜਨਤਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਉਪਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।”
