-After a day of total 10 hours and around 18 minutes, the Sun will set in the GTA by 6.11 pm today.

-Here are some tips from the City of Brampton to experience Halloween safely: Consider handing out treats on your driveway or porch to avoid people ringing the doorbell or knocking, Make sure the path to a trick-or-treating area is well lit, Clear driveways and pathways, Move cars out of the driveway to allow better accessibility for trick-or-treaters, Create a trick-or-treat station at the end of a driveway, out of a garage or a vehicle’s trunk, Refrain from using strobe lights or high-pitched, sudden loud noises, and keep pets indoors in a safe area.

-With the collaboration of the City of Brampton and Peel District School Board, the improved sports track at the Sandalwood Heights Senior Secondary School in Ward 10, has been made available for the students, youth, and the community for sports and recreational activities. Mayor Patrick Brown, Deputy Mayor Harkirat Singh, Regional Councilor Gurpartap Singh Toor, Councilor Rowena Santos, and PDSB Trustee Satpaul Singh Johal participated in the opening ceremony yesterday. Toronto Pearson Airport Runners (TPAR) club’s members and leaders, with Chairman Sandhura Singh Brar, and local residents were also in attendance.

-Hindu Heritage month in Canada, November, begins tomorrow.

-The provincial government has decided to extend fuel and gas tax relief in Ontario until June 30, 2024.

-CGI’s life certificate camps for Indian pensioners will begin from upcoming weekend in the GTA. There will be 3 camps in Brampton during November, on November 5 in Hindu Sabha Temple at 9525 Gore Road, on November 11 in Terry Miller Recreation Centre (room 2) at 1295 Williams Parkway, and on November 18 in Sikh Heritage Centre at 11796 Airport Road (close to Mayfield Road).

-A large number of Sikhs lined up and voted in Khalistan referendum held at Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdawra in Sureey (BC) on Sunday.
