*Time flies! The end of this week will mark the middle of the school year in Ontario.

*ਨੁਕਸ ਕੱਢੀਏ ਪਰ: IRCC’s new update shows that over 2.2 million (22 Lakh) applicants for Canada’s immigration, citizenship, visitor, work, and study visa are waiting currently for their application to get processed.

*ਬੱਚੇ ਦੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਜਰੂਰੀ: PDSB employees (teachers, staff), and volunteers must report to a child (less than 18 years of age) who may need protection (including abuse and neglect at home) to the Children’s Aid Society. In such cases, Parents/guardians have to deal directly with CAS.

*ਵੱਡਾ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਸੰਭਵ: If a staff member does not report the suspicion of a child’s neglect/abuse to CAS, they are liable to a fine of up to $5000.

*ਬਦਲਵਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ: As an alternative to suspension, learning and training around Restorative Justice (ਰਾਜੀਨਾਮਾ) in Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon schools is ongoing.

*ਚੋਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ: A record-breaking over 3300 vehicles were reportedly stolen in Brampton during 365 days of 2023.

*ਮੁਫਤ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਤੇ ਬੀਜ: City of Brampton’s annual Backyard Garden Program (5th) returns next month. Participants will get free soil (5 bags), sampler seeds, and tips to grow and maintain a backyard garden.

*LMIA ਲੁੱਟ ਬਾਰੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਟੁੱਟਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ!: Conservative immigration and employment shadow ministers are reportedly working on raising the LMIA corruption issue with the federal government. A senior politician said last week that LMIA sale/purchase is a silent corruption in Canada. Silent corruptions do not damage the politicians’ political life, such as Canadians’ frustration over out-of-control auto theft, inflation, and immigration policies.
