After an attempted carjacking in Etobicoke, a man arrested

Toronto police say a man has been arrested in connection with a carjacking attempt in Etobicoke on Tuesday night.
Passersby held the man until police arrived to arrest him. No one was injured.
It happened in the parking lot of a large box store, north of Rexdale Boulevard, near Islington Avenue and Bergamot Avenue. Police were called at 5:50 p.m.
According to police, three men approached the woman, snatched her purse and demanded her car keys. Police said he screamed for help and passersby came to his aid.
Const. Toronto Police Service spokesman David Hopkinson said one person was caught in the parking lot while two others escaped.
Police searched the area for two more people.
“This year ,police have made more than 20 carjacking arrests”, Harris said.

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਤਾਬਿਕ ਇਕ ਔਰਤ ਕੋਲ ਤਿੰਨ ਆਦਮੀ ਆਏ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਰਸ ਖੋਹ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਾਬੀਆਂ ਮੰਗੀਆਂ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਚੀਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਹਗੀਰ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਆਏ।
ਕੰਸਟ. ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਸੇਵਾ ਦੇ ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਡੇਵਿਡ ਹੌਪਕਿਨਸਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰਕਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਦੋ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਫਰਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੋ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਲਈ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਹੈਰਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ 20 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕਾਰਜੈਕਿੰਗ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
