Garage fire in Scarborough: a senior brought to hospital with “severe” burns

After an early morning fire in Toronto “completely engulfed” a garage in flames, a senior was evacuated to the hospital.
Emergency services were dispatched to the area of Homestead Road and Coronation Drive in Scarborough at 5:05 a.m. Saturday morning, according to Toronto police.
According to Toronto Fire Capt. Dan Viera, there were reports of both a garage fire and an explosion. Crews arrived at the site to find someone with “severe” burns, he added.
Paramedics in Toronto said they took a man in his 70s to the hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Saturday morning, the fire was put out, and firemen remained on the scene. Although Toronto firemen are unable to determine whether the incident was suspicious, investigators will examine the scene.

ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਮੈਡਿਕਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ 70 ਦੇ ਦਹਾਕੇ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਲੇਵਾ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ।
ਅੱਗ ‘ਤੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫਾਇਰਫਾਈਟਰ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਰਹੇ। ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਦੇ ਫਾਇਰ ਫਾਈਟਰਜ਼ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਜੇ ਇਹ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਕਿ ਅੱਗ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਸੀ ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰ ਜਾਂਚਕਰਤਾ ਘਟਨਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਆਇਨਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
