Prime Minister Mark Carney ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ US President Donald Trump ਨਾਲ Broad Trade Deal ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ Possible ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। Ottawa ‘ਚ Asia Tour ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, Carney ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ Auto Tariffs ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ Trade Issues ‘ਤੇ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਅਗਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ Canada ਆਪਣੇ Economic Interests ਨੂੰ CUSMA Agreement ਹੇਠ Protect ਕਰਨ ਲਈ US ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੱਡਾ Deal ਚਰਚਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ।
Ontario Premier Doug Ford ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ, Carney ਨੇ Supply Chains ਅਤੇ 2025 ‘ਚ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ CUSMA Review ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ।
Experts ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ Delay Canada-US Trade Relations ‘ਤੇ ਅਸਰ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਦੋਂ Trump ਦੁਬਾਰਾ American Manufacturing ‘ਤੇ Focus ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

Carney Says Broad Trade Deal with Trump Not Possible Yet
Prime Minister Mark Carney has said that a broad trade deal with US President Donald Trump is not possible at this time. Speaking in Ottawa before leaving for his Asia tour, Carney explained that negotiations on auto tariffs and other key trade issues will likely begin next year.
He emphasized that Canada continues to work with the US to protect its economic interests under the CUSMA trade agreement, but a new large-scale deal isn’t on the table yet.
During his meeting with Ontario Premier Doug Ford, Carney discussed supply chains and the 2025 review of the CUSMA deal.
Experts say this delay in talks could influence Canada-US trade relations, especially amid Trump’s renewed focus on American manufacturing.
