– ਨਵਦੀਪ ਬੈਂਸ ਦਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਅਹੁਦਾ: Canada’s former cabinet minister and Liberal MP Navdeep Singh Bains is joining Rogers Communications as a chief corporate affairs officer. He will mainly oversee Rogers’ public policy, the company confirmed yesterday.

– ਹੜਤਾਲ਼ ਦੇ ਚੱਲਦਿਆਂ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੇ ਵੀਜਾ/ਪਰਮਿਟ ਅਪਲਾਈ ਕਰਨ `ਚ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਨਹੀਂ: During Strike of the government workers in Canada, people can still apply online for extending or renewing their expiring status. As per normal practice, temporary residents in Canada are allowed to apply for an extension of status from within Canada. With some exceptions, extensions and study/work permit applications must be submitted online. Be reminded that to maintain a temporary status, the application must be complete, including biometrics, fees, and any other requirements. Application for extension or renewal must be submitted before the expiry of the current status. Foreign workers and students can continue to work and study if the renewal of their permit is submitted before the expiry of the existing permit. But they must remain physically in Canada until a decision on their application is made by the IRCC. People, who duly apply, will benefit from maintained status. Therefore, expedited processing is not required.
