Woman critically injured in North York fire
ਉੱਤਰੀ ਯਾਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਔਰਤ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ
Following a fire at a high-rise building in North York this morning, one woman was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
It happened shortly before 7 a.m. at a residential building on Falstaff Avenue, near Jane Street and Wilson Avenue.
Toronto Fire Services told that flames broke out in a unit on the 19th floor and heavy smoke was present upon arrival.
The fire was promptly put out, and firemen conducted a primary and secondary search of the unit.
One woman was transported to a local hospital with critical but non-life threatening injuries, according to paramedics.
The fire’s cause is still being investigated.

ਇਹ ਜੇਨ ਸਟਰੀਟ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਲਸਨ ਐਵੇਨਿਊ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਫਾਲਸਟਾਫ ਐਵੇਨਿਊ ‘ਤੇ ਇਕ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਵਿਚ ਸਵੇਰੇ 7 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ।
ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਫਾਇਰ ਸਰਵਿਸਿਜ਼ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 19ਵੀਂ ਮੰਜ਼ਿਲ ‘ਤੇ ਇਕ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਵਿਚ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ‘ਤੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਧੂੰਆਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸੀ।
ਫਾਇਰਫਾਈਟਰਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਅੱਗ ਨੂੰ ਜਲਦੀ ਬੁਝਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਪੈਰਾਮੈਡਿਕਸ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ।
ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਜੇ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
