TORONTO, ON- One person was killed in a gunshot in downtown Toronto on Saturday evening, according to police.
Officers reached to the area of Bloor Street East and Church Street shortly before 11 p.m. for reports of rounds fired near a restaurant.
Police discovered a man victim with no vital signs and severe gunshot wounds.
He was transported to the hospital and proclaimed dead there.
The investigation has been handed up to the homicide unit.
Shell casings were also discovered at the location.
There was no immediate suspect information provided.

ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਲੂਰ ਸਟਰੀਟ ਈਸਟ ਅਤੇ ਚਰਚ ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਰੈਸਟੋਰੈਂਟ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਗੋਲੀਬਾਰੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਲਈ 11 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਠੀਕ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੀੜਤ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਿਆ, ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਗੋਲੀ ਦੀ ਸੱਟ ਤੋਂ ਪੀੜਤ ਸੀ।

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਸ਼ੈੱਲ ਦੇ ਖੋਲ ਵੀ ਲੱਭੇ ਹਨ।
