DIG GURPREET BHULLAR
Inspector General of Police SPS Parmar, Border Range, Amritsar, who is probing the cases of indecency, has recommended the appointment of DIG Gurpreet Bhullar as a member of SIT. Parmar has written letters to Director Bureau of Investigation Arpit Shukla and DGP Punjab Dinkar Gupta and asked DIG Gurpreet Bhullar, who is also the current Commissioner of Police Jalandhar, to appoint a member of SIT investigating three indecency cases in Faridkot district. . It may be mentioned that after the retirement of DIG Ranbir Singh Khatra on March 31, 2021, there was a vacancy for one member in SIT. SIT Chairman Parmar mentioned in the letter that he had seen the profiles of 8 officers of DIG rank of 2004 batch and after looking at various aspects in them, DIG Gurpreet Bhullar was found suitable. He has about 30 in investigation and supervision. He has years of experience. Therefore, he should be made a member of SIT.
