A new security camera image of a man wanted in connection with a stabbing in North York earlier this month has been released by Toronto police.
On the evening of March 7, police said a suspect approached a 33-year-old male in the area of Dufferin Street and Lawrence Avenue West, shouted at him, and then stabbed him many times.
The victim was taken to the hospital after suffering life-threatening injuries.
On foot, the suspect fled the scene. Police released security camera photographs of the sought guy two days after the crime in an attempt to identify him.
On Friday, police released a new photo of the suspect, urging anyone who recognises him to contact authorities.
The suspect is 36 years old, stands six feet five inches tall, and weighs 250 pounds, according to police. He was dressed in a black jacket, hoodie, black jeans, brown boots, and a black backpack with a black mask.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call police at 416-808-3204 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS anonymously (8477).
