ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਦੇ ਰਿਵਰਡੇਲ ਖੇਤਰ ‘ਚ 301 ਰਿਵਰਡੇਲ ਐਵੇਨਿਊ ਵਿਖੇ ਇੱਕ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਪੇਪ ਐਵੇਨਿਊ ਦੇ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਪੂਰਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਜੈਰਾਰਡ ਸਟਰੀਟ ਈਸਟ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।
ਅੱਗ ਬੁਝਾਊ ਅਮਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਰੀਬ 12:45 ਵਜੇ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਦੇ ਫਾਇਰ ਚੀਫ ਮੈਥਿਊ ਪੈਗ ਨੇ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣ ‘ਤੇ ਇਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਲਾਸ਼ ਮਿਲੀ। ਪੀੜਤ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਜਾਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਅੱਗ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ, ਕਾਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਲਾਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
One person has died after a house fire broke out at 301 Riverdale Avenue in Toronto’s Riverdale area, just east of Pape Avenue and north of Gerrard Street East. Around 12:45 p.m., firefighters were called to the scene.
Toronto Fire Chief Matthew Pegg said that when crews entered the home, they found the body of a man. The identity of the victim has not been released. He said that the investigation into the origin, cause and circumstances of this fire is now underway.
