After a gunshot in a restaurant parking lot in Scarborough late Wednesday night, one man was killed.
At roughly 11:30 p.m., the incident occurred in the Boston Pizza parking lot on Cinemart Drive, near Morningside and Sheppard avenues.
One individual was carried from the site to a trauma centre in serious condition, according to paramedics, but police later verified that the victim, a male in his 40s, died.
No information on possible suspects has been shared by the police.
The investigation has been handed up to homicide detectives.

ਪੈਰਾਮੈਡਿਕਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਘਟਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਟ੍ਰੌਮਾ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ[ ਪਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਪੀੜਤ, ਜਿਸਦੀ ਉਮਰ 40 ਸਾਲ ਮੰਨੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਦੀ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
