-ਸਿਗਰਟਨੋਸ਼ੀ `ਤੇ ਚੌਕਸੀ: Vape sensors are being considered for middle schools and high schools to detect drug, cigarette and vape use, especially in the washrooms. Vape detectors are reportedly capable of detecting vaping with a high degree of accuracy.
-Castlebrooke Secondary School in Brampton’s ward 10 has been participating since last week in a pilot project with vape sensors to curb drug and vape use in the washrooms and hallways.
-ਵਾਸ਼ਰੂਮ ਚੌਕਸੀ: All 4 secondary schools (Harold Brathwaite, Louise Arbor, Sandalwood and Castlebrooke) in Brampton’s wards 9 and 10 have deployed special monitors to supervise student gatherings in the hallways, and washroom area for the school day. (Satpal Singh Johal)
-2 ਕਾਬੂ: Two students arrested on gun and knife charges in Sandalwood Heights Secondary School yesterday, will not return to the same school again.
-3 ਹੋਰ ਕਾਬੂ: At least 3 students have been identified who are responsible for filming during the police action (arrests) in Sandalwood Heights school yesterday and posting videos on the social media. These students will face a strict disciplinary action.
-ਮਾਪੇ ਸੋਚਣ: It is time to learn from yesterday’s incident at the Sandalwood Heights Secondary School. The accused students had cellphones with them, and they abused social media, whereas the phones are not needed to learn in the school.
-ਮਾਪੇ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ: PDSB Students (of all classes) are not required at all to bring phones from home. The parents unable to supervise their children’s social media use at home, must not give cell phones to the kids.
-ਓਪਨ ਹਾਊਸ: Administrators of Shaw Public School in Brampton’s ward 10 are organizing an Open House today from 6 to 7 pm.
