Woman dead, man in hospital after crash on Highway 401 in Mississauga

On Tuesday early morning, a woman is dead and a man is in the hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Mississauga.
The OPP says that shortly before 4 a.m., the SUV and truck collided on the express lanes of the 401 east of Dixie Road.
A female passenger died on the spot, while a male driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital in critical condition.
The ramp from Highway 403 to the eastbound express lanes of Highway 401 is closed. The eastbound express lanes on Mississauga Road are also closed.
Motorists should expect the area to remain closed for much of the morning.

ਓਪੀਪੀ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੜਕੇ 4 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਡਿਕਸੀ ਰੋਡ ਦੇ 401 ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਐਕਸਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਲੇਨ ‘ਤੇ SUV ਅਤੇ ਟਰੱਕ ਦੀ ਟੱਕਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
ਇਕ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਹੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਵਾਹਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਵਾਰ ਇਕ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਡਰਾਈਵਰ ਨੂੰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਹਾਈਵੇਅ 403 ਤੋਂ ਹਾਈਵੇਅ 401 ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਐਕਸਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਲੇਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਦਾ ਰੈਂਪ ਬੰਦ ਹੈ। ਮਿਸੀਸਾਗਾ ਰੋਡ ‘ਤੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਐਕਸਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਲੇਨਾਂ ਵੀ ਬੰਦ ਹਨ।
ਵਾਹਨ ਚਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੇਰ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
