ਅਹਿਮ ਖਬਰ:ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਨੇ ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਤੇ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਸਿੱਕਾ
London: On the occasion of Diwali, Chancellor Rishi Sunak unveiled a new 5 pound coin in memory of Mahatma Gandhi’s life and legacy. The coin is available in a variety of parameters, including gold and silver, special collector’s coin designed by Heena Glover And It has a picture of the national flower of India, the lotus, along with one of Gandhi’s most famous quotes – “My life is my message”.
Building on lasting ties and cultural ties between Britain and India, this is the first time that Mahatma Gandhi has been commemorated with the final design chosen by Sunak, the UK’s official coin, who is the master of the mint.

ਲੰਡਨ: ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਮੌਕੇ ਚਾਂਸਲਰ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਸੁਨਕ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਤੇ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ‘ਚ 5 ਪੌਂਡ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਿੱਕੇ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਇਹ ਸਿੱਕਾ ਸੋਨੇ ਤੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਮਾਪਦੰਡਾਂ ‘ਚ ਉਪਲਬਧ, ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਕੁਲੈਕਟਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਕਾ ਹੀਨਾ ਗਲੋਵਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਇਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਇਸ ‘ਚ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹਵਾਲਿਆਂ ‘ਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ – “ਮੇਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ” ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਫੁੱਲ, ਕਮਲ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਵੀ ਹੈ।
ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸਥਾਈ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਤੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਦੀ ਯਾਦਗਾਰ ਯੂਕੇ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਸਿੱਕੇ ਤੇ ਸੁਨਕ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਟਕਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਮਾਸਟਰ ਹਨ।
